Interstate 29 is a major transcontinental highway in the US. Its South terminus is at Interstate 35, Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 71 in Kansas City, Missouri and its North end is at USA and Canada Border in Pembina, North Dakota. On its route I-29 traverses through the states of Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota for a total of 4 states. I-29 is known as the Transamerica Highway or “America’s Expressway” because of the roads immense history following many iconic old highways and trails. Interstate 29 Serves The Cities of Kansas City, St Joseph, Council Bluffs, Sioux City, Sioux Falls, Fargo, Grand Forks and Winnipeg.
