Interstate 44 is a major East–West transcontinental Interstate Highway in the Central portions of the United States. At a length of 636.3. miles (1,024.1 km), it is the third-longest Interstate Highway in the country. From East to West, it passes through Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Its West end is at U.S. Route 277 in Wichita Falls, Texas, while its East end is at a concurrency at Interstate 74 in St Louis, Missouri. Major cities served by the Interstate include Wichita Falls, Lawton, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Joplin and St Louis.
