Interstate 71 is a major North-South transcontinental highway in the US. Its South terminus is at U.S. Route 90 in Pascagoula, Mississippi and its North end is at U.S. Route 31 in Traverse City, Michigan. On its route I-71 traverses through the states of Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan for a total of 5 states. I-71 is known as the Transamerica Highway or “America’s Expressway” because of the roads immense history following many iconic old highways and trails. Interstate 71 Serves The Cities of Pascagoula, Meridian, Tupelo, Clarksville, Louisville, Cincinnati, Kellys Island, Bay City and Traverse City.
