Interstate 83 is a major North-South transcontinental highway in the US. At a length of 349 miles (562 km). It’s South terminus is at East Fayette Street and North President Street in Baltimore, Maryland and it’s North end is at Interstate 490 in Rochester, New York. On it’s route I-83 traverses through the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York for a total of 3 states. I-83 is known as the Transamerica Highway or America’s Expressway because of the roads immense history following many iconic old highways and trails.
