Interstate 99 is a Major highway on the East Coast of the US. At a length of 939 miles (1,511 km). Its South terminus is at Interstate 95 in Savannah, Georgia and its North end is at Interstate 81 in Syracuse, New York. On its route I-99 traverses through the states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York for a total of 8 states. I-99 is known as the Transamerica Highway or “America’s Expressway” because of the roads immense history following many iconic old highways and trails.
